Volunteer with the Academy

Now that you are a part of the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy, get involved as an active, contributing member!

The Academy prides itself on providing many leadership opportunities for you.  By participating in various volunteer activities, you have the ability to not only share your education, training, and experience, but also to benefit by learning from and working with others! Here are some ways you can help:

  • Serve as a committee member or chair for one of the eleven Academy Committees: Advocacy & Consumer Affairs; Archives/Historian; Awards; Evidence-based Advisory; Finance; Membership & Public Relations; Nominating; Neurologic Clinical Specalist; Pactice; Program; Research; and Telecommunications. For more information on the roles of each committee, see the Volunteer Sign Up Form link below.
  • Join one of the Special Interest Groups (SIG) as a committe member or chair.  Current SIGs include: Assistive Technology/Seating and Wheeled Mobility, Balance & Falls; Brain Injury; Degenerative Diseases; Spinal Cord Injury; Stroke; and Vestibular Rehabilitation.  For more information on these groups, refer to the Special Interest Groups tab.
  • Volunteer as a Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy booth representative at the APTA Combined Section Meeting, APTA Annual Conference, or State Chapter Meetings.  You can help to encourage other APTA members to join ANPT, provide current section members with information about resources and benefits, as well as network with other clinicians working in neurologic settings.

Take a moment to sign in as a member through the top right Login Box. Click on the Members tab and then "Volunteer Sign-up form" to see the opportunities currently available. Complete the online form if you find something that you would like to help with. After completing this form, you will be contacted for Committee and SIG opportunities.  In addition, your name will be added to our Volunteer Database to be contacted for future volunteer needs. All data collected is kept for the sole purpose of contacting current ANPT members willing to volunteer.

We need your involvement to help ANPT grow and flourish! Join other members who are helping to promote the neurologic physical therapy practice!
