The mission of the American Society of Neurorehabilitation is to promote the medical and social well being of persons with disabling neurological disorders, to advance training and research in the basic and clinical sciences that can lead to functional recovery of neurologically impaired persons, and to disseminate the knowledge of this research among professionals and the general public. The mission of the Functional Neurological Disorder Society is to disseminate knowledge about functional neurological disorders, to promote research into causes, prevention and treatment of Functional Neurological Disorders and for the purposes of favorably affecting the care of patients with movement disorders, the Society will provide expertise, advice and guidance.
