MORE Grant Writing Workshop at the University of Kentucky
May 5-7, 2008

The University of Kentucky is pleased to announce an innovative way to learn the essentials of writing successful NIH proposals. An interactive grant writing course for faculty at minority-serving institutions has been developed with support from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.

This Internet-based program will empower faculty engaged in biomedical research or training to develop and submit competitive research proposals. Most of the program will take place over the Internet. The course begins with an expense paid, two-day workshop at UK to introduce participants to the mechanics of the program as well as to the technology and staff involved in the initiative.

Participants will be selected by NIGMS on the basis of their qualifications, institutional support, and motivation to secure extramural funds to support their research. A letter of invitation from NIGMS is required to participate.
