Neurology and Research Section Member

Why Are You Running For This Position?

I am interested in this position as both a practitioner and researcher in the field of degenerative neurological disease.  For the past ten years, I have dedicated my professional energy toward the improvement of treatment and understanding the conditions broadly defined as neurodegenerative diseases.  I believe the degenerative diseases special interest group (DD SIG) has a unique ability to bring together students and clinicians interested in addressing the particular challenges and rewards of working with patients who have a degenerative neurological disease.  The people selected to lead this group will have a profound impact on the tone and direction of the SIG as well as the spirit of the group so important to maintaining a networking function.  As someone familiar with many areas of the field, I think I would have the ability to continue the work so many of our members have begun. I would be honored to be elected Chair of the DD SIG.

The Section would like to extend a special thanks to all of the partnering organizations that have joined in to make the organization an invaluable resource for information, tools, and support for the population we serve.
