Why Are You Running For This Position?

Scientific advances over the past decade, combined with proposed healthcare reforms have created opportunities and challenges associated with delivering high-quality, cost-effective care to individuals living with neurologic injuries. Current and emerging leaders within the Neurology Section will play a critical role in guiding our professionís destiny. Over the past two decades, I have collaborated with clinicians, academicians, researchers and administrators to proactively address these challenges through education, research and policy implementation.  I will use my clinical, teaching, research, and leadership skills in combination with my strengths in bringing together individuals with diverse backgrounds to: 1) foster clinician engagement in the Neurology section; and 2) develop a slate of candidates who have strong potential and desire to serve as leaders in healthcare reform efforts and guide necessary changes in practice, education, and research.

The Section would like to extend a special thanks to all of the partnering organizations that have joined in to make the organization an invaluable resource for information, tools, and support for the population we serve.
