Now that you are a part of the Neurology Section team, be involved as an active, contributing member!

The Neurology Section prides itself on providing many leadership opportunities for you.  By participating in various volunteer activities, you have the ability to not only share your education, training, and experience, but also to benefit by learning from and working with others! Here are some ways you can help:

  • Serve as a committee member or chair for one of the eleven Neurology Section Committees: Advocacy & Consumer Affairs; Archives/Historian; Awards; Finance; Membership & Public Relations; Nominating; Neurologic Clinical Specalist; Pactice; Program; Research; and Telecommunications. For more information on the roles of each committee, see the Volunteer Sign Up Form link below.
  • Join one of the Special Interest Groups (SIG) as a committe member or chair.  Current SIGs include: Balance & Fallsl; Brain Injury; Degenerative Diseases; Spinal Cord Injury; Stroke; and Vestibular Rehabilitation.  For mroe information on these groups, refer to the Special Interest Groups tab.
  • Volunteer as a Neurology Section booth representative at the APTA Combined Section Meeting, APTA Annual Conference, or State Chapter Meetings.  You can help to encourage other APTA members to join the Neurology Section, provide current section members with information about resources and benefits, as well as network with other clinicians working in neurologic settings.

Take a moment to complete the Volunteer Sign Up Form. After completing this form, you will be contacted for Committee and SIG opportunities.  In addition, your name will be added to our Volunteer Database to be contacted for future volunteer needs at conferences and meetings. All data collected is kept for the sole purpose of contacting current Neurology Section members willing to serve in appointed and elected positions.

We need your involvement to help the section grow and flourish! Join other section members who are helping to promote neurologic physical therapy practice!

The Section would like to extend a special thanks to all of the partnering organizations that have joined in to make the organization an invaluable resource for information, tools, and support for the population we serve.
