Neurology Section Oral History Project

Neurology Section Oral History Project

Every day, physical therapists are creating history - in what they accomplish with their patients, in their academic pursuits, and in their contributions to the profession.  The therapists that have led and supported the Neurology Section are a unique and remarkable group of people.  Memories of their professional lives and their role in the Neurology section provide a window into the history of our profession as it existed in the past and how it lives on today.

Preserving the memories and insights of our leaders and mentors is what the Neurology Section Oral History Project plans to accomplish.  Our first interview was with Martha "Marty" Wroe, PT, MA, FAPTA, a founding member of the Neurology Section and one of its first board members.  Listen and enjoy as Andrea Behrman, PT, PhD, FAPTA talk to Ms Wroe about her long career in Physical Therapy, including service in the Women's Auxiliary Corp, treatment of patients with polio, and her role in forming the Neurology Section of the APTA.
